Every Tuesday from 5 to 5:30 p.m., Dr. Pauzauskie will host an informal virtual conversation where members can share what's happening in their practices, discuss challenges facing them, ask questions, provide feedback, offer ideas, seek advice, or simply listen to the discussion.
We know your time is limited. You do not need to be on camera, and you're welcome to join by phone while wrapping up your workday, commuting home, or between other commitments. Members are asked to register for each session individually in case of schedule changes.
Medical students and physicians: Apply for scholarships and awards
Medical students: The American Medical Association (AMA) Foundation is accepting applications for its 2027 Physicians of Tomorrow Scholarships, which provide $10,000 awards to eligible medical students entering their third or final year of medical school in 2027-28. Applications are due Jan. 19, 2027.
All members: The AMA Foundation is also accepting nominations for its 2027 Excellence in Medicine Awards, honoring physicians and advocates who demonstrate exceptional leadership, service, and commitment to improving health. Nominations are due Jan. 11, 2027 (Nov. 23, 2026, for the Excellence in LGBTQ Health Award).
Medical school is a significant financial investment, and unexpected academic setbacks can be financially devastating. Panacea Financial is seeking feedback from medical students and residents on a proposed medical education insurance product designed to help pay down student loans in the event of academic dismissal or an unsuccessful residency Match. As more students may need to rely on private loans with fewer borrower protections, your input is essential. Take the Medical School Debt Survey and help evaluate whether this type of coverage could benefit future medical trainees.
All Colorado Medical Society committee meetings and events are open to all CMS members and you are invited to attend! Meetings are held via Zoom or Teams unless otherwise noted. Find a full list of events here: cms.org/events. Questions? Contact membership@cms.org.
